Career Choices in North Carolina — "The Tabloid" North Carolina’s annual career information publication for youth and adults, the Career Choices tabloid provides current, state-specific information and more than 260 career briefs to support career exploration, career planning, and career decision-making. For 23 years, we have collaborated with state agencies to create, publish, and distribute a half million copies annually through the public schools, colleges, and state agencies. The 24th edition of Career Choices is now online. You can access the 2008 edition of Career Choices in North Carolina to view, download, or print it yourself on 8.5 x 11 paper. To print, check your print dialog box to be sure that Page Scaling is set to "Shrink Large Pages." Audience: NC youth and adults who are involved with career planning, career exploration, and career decision-making
Cost: A very limited number of 2006-07 print copies are
available at $0.25 each, and are sold in bundles of 50 ($12.50 per set of 50),
plus tax and shipping.
Career Choices User's Guide
The
2008 Adult Edition
of the User’s Guide is a companion resource to the Career Choices
tabloid. It contains activities and information that are organized by career
planning topics: self-assessment, career exploration, education and training,
job search, and additional resources. Audience:

A very limited number of print copies of each of the 2006-07 User’s
Guide versions are available from our office. To purchase print copies,

order form and fax it to us. The Youth Edition
offers a set of lesson
plans, classroom activities, and additional information, primarily for school
personnel. (including Internet web sites).
The Adult Edition
is organized under the
same career planning topics as the youth version, except that this resource is
designed for use with older audiences.
The
Spanish Edition,
also available online,
is an
abridged version of the Youth User's Guide

each plus tax and shipping North Carolina Career Pathways Posters Building upon Wake County Public School System's original Career Pathway posters, we created a set of 10 Career Pathway Posters, one for each North Carolina career pathway. Posters are printed on glossy 11 x 17 paper. This North Carolina─specific, career decision-making tool can be displayed in classrooms, counseling offices, and community settings. You can use these posters "as is," or you can personalize them by adding labels containing your school or agency information. A limited number of printed posters in English are available. $10 per set of 10 plus tax and shipping (English version only) ACRN Parent Brochures Parents can help their children do well in school, make the most of their talents and interests, and get the education and skills they need for college and work. The National Training Support Center (NTSC) and America's Career Resource Network (ACRN) have developed downloadable brochures in English and Spanish on various career development topics. These resources support No Child Left Behind (NCLB), the federal education reform legislation enacted in 2002. You can view and print them here, or order print copies from our office.
