Carolina Claims Two Middle School Winners Two North Carolina students from First Flight Middle School in Dare County are winners in the 2007-08 National Career Development Month Poster & Poetry Contest, sponsored by the National Career Development Association. Sponsored annually in our state by the North Carolina Career Development Association, this year’s theme was Find Your Voice - Change Your World. Congratulations to Kris Lane for the national 3rd place winning poem and to Jimmy Morgenroth for the national 3rd place winning mixed-media poster! Their exciting voices promise lots of positive change for our world. Kudos, too, to Kathey Lamm, Jennie Rook, and W.B. Jordan, the Dare County educators who encouraged their students to participate in this competition. Poster & Poetry Contest State Winners Hats off to the nineteen students from around the state who participated in the North Carolina Career Development Association’s (NCCDA) Career Development Month Poster & Poetry Contest. Special congratulations to those who submitted winning entries to the state contest and to the teachers and local contest coordinators who encouraged them! Winning entries at the state level were submitted for consideration at the national level, and two of those entries claimed national titles. Congratulations!
* National third-place winners.
